Bundle dye silk scarf
This Fall, I was able to go to a creative art camp, and one of the classes I took was bundle dye. It’s mindblowing how learning about something can infuse new life into someone's artistic journey.
Long story short, it is mid-February here, and I’ve been taking some online classes through a textile school. And I’ve been adding all that a dye and block printing studio needs to my painting studio. It’s been a busy winter for me, and slowly, I've been adding and experimenting with creating paint using natural extracts and chemistry. I am excited about this and feel it will lead to great places.
Family Christmas Craft
Christmas is approaching, and I wanted to start a new Advent tradition with my family. I didn’t know much about making or dipping candles, but a quick search and some shopping for the materials was all it took. This is our first time making candles, and the process was fun. It’s pretty cool to see the candle grow bigger with each dip. We use the Stockmar decorating wax sheets, and that is the part everybody enjoyed the most. I think the designs are adorable. These candles were for our Advent tradition, but I think they are too petty to be burned; we will use them as decoration.
