I draw inspiration from the delicate dance between freedom and structure, the narratives that have shaped my world and nature. Through brushstrokes, earthy color palettes, and mixed media materials they become intertwined into my work”

I am interested in the energy inherent in each piece, and its potential to infuse individuals and spaces with a dynamic presence. I create for this purpose.

Mireille Lagow

is a freelance visual artist living and working in Dallas, TX.

Mireille has always enjoyed traveling, knowing other places, being in nature, and experiencing life through her senses.

Her inspiration comes from the subtle rainfall, a puddle with brown wet leaves, the countryside full of wildflowers, and rain while you swim in the ocean. She then uses those moments as her language in art; she translates those moments into an abstract painting while she tells a story about her human experience.

Mireille also loves photography as a way to freeze the magic moments that surround us.

In 2009, I started handcrafting jewelry, and my collection was born. Jewelry is a subtle way to say something about myself and my personality. Wearing jewelry makes a statement about what you are about.

I like to create unique pieces, which can only be possible by following a personal process. I want my pieces to reflect all the experiences, places, people, and situations particular to my life. I use quality materials and give them a bohemian style—one at a time, with attention to detail.

Sometimes, like with my paintings, this involves trial and error, and other times, it involves just following the feeling of the process.

The final piece is the most interesting part of the process because when I look at it, I see that it’s everything I have been imagining. It is now a tactile expression ready to be worn and a part of somebody’s life. My pieces are influenced by tribal, earthy wear with a bohemian vibe. I draw inspiration from nature's vistas, from turquoise waters to misty forests. I design and create pieces that nurture a carefree and independent spirit.

Her latest endeavors include natural dyes, plant dye block printing, and textiles.
